THE PROBLEM

Training and running advanced AI models requires vast arrays of classical processors (GPUs) that consume gigawatts of electricity and hundreds of millions of dollars. This extreme energy and compute bottleneck has put the AI boom on an "unsustainable trajectory," severely straining power grids and centralizing AI capabilities into the hands of a few extremely wealthy tech giants

Sygaldry Technologies is building quantum-accelerated AI servers designed to plug seamlessly into existing data centers. Rather than betting on a single experimental technology, their "multi-modal" architecture combines different types of quantum bits to maximize speed and reliability.

Sygaldry's team uniquely blends deep-tech scientific pedigree with proven public-market execution. CEO Chad Rigetti previously founded and took Rigetti Computing public, while co-founder Idalia Friedson brings high-level strategy and policy expertise. They are anchored by founding AI scientist Michael Keiser, a former UCSF professor. Recently (late 2025), they expanded to 17 full-time employees, bringing in high-level commercial and hardware veterans from Samsung and IBM.
