Job Description
The Process Operator is responsible for the maintenance and operation of equipment and processes in our Woodinville facility. Some of the processes may involve use of hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure. Therefore, process operators must follow safe work practices including wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), following detailed procedures and instructions, accurately recording of process conditions and some laboratory testing.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Perform job duties in a safe and conscientious manner, following all procedures, programs, and policies established for specific processes.
Maintaining equipment and following operations’ standard operating procedures.
Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of manufactured or packaged products and intermediates.
Isolating systems for maintenance using work permits and lock out tag out process.
Operating manual and pneumatic valves.
Operating systems using Distributed Control System.
Act accordingly to all system and plant alarms and follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
Maintaining proper and safe process operations of the operating equipment.
Adjust machine components and machine settings to comply with product protocols.
Remove finished product from machine and separate rejected items.
Make periodic checks of process and equipment settings.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, and report malfunctions to supervisor.
Assist in the design and implementation of production techniques and equipment scale-up.
Follow detailed procedures and instructions.
Record process conditions.
Inspect processes and work to assure effective quality control.
Support continuous quality initiatives.
Function with the production team effectively.
Train other employees in proper production techniques, safety and equipment operation as needed.
Perform other work as assigned.
Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous manufacturing experience.
Strong analytical and math proficiency.
High level of mechanical aptitude.
Ability to systematically troubleshoot and problem solve integrated processes.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for a minimum of two hours without assistance.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Ability to wear a respirator for 30-60 minute periods.
Participation in medical surveillance per our Industrial Hygiene program.
Ability to work any shift (24/7), both 8 and 12 hour shift lengths.
OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
AA degree in a related field.
1+ years of direct experience working as a process operator in a chemical plant, power plant, nuclear plant, or other industrial manufacturing facility.
Experience using computer control interface software.
Certificate in six sigma or lean manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret piping schematics/ diagrams.
Fork truck license.
Benefits
The base pay range for this position starts at $22/hour for Level 1 ($1.50 additional per hour for the night shift) to $28+/hour for more senior levels, depending on experience. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
Base Pay Range: $22 - $28 USD/hour
