Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly organized procurement specialist to lead strategic sourcing at our advanced nuclear reactor manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensure we meet our project timelines while achieving aggressive cost targets and staying in compliance with strict nuclear quality standards.
How You Will Contribute
Lead strategic sourcing and procurement of nuclear-grade materials and components aligned with Aalo Atomics’ technical and regulatory requirement.
Develop and manage supplier relationships with a focus on NQA-1 compliance, quality assurance, long-term capability, and continually improving costs
Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders, ensuring clarity in specifications, certifications, and delivery schedules
Coordinate closely with design, manufacturing, program management, and QA to ensure procurement activities support aggressive project milestones
Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to optimize cost and risk while maintaining material traceability and nuclear quality requirements
Track material deliveries and proactively manage schedule risks with vendors and internal stakeholders
Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality, safety, or compliance
Monitor industry trends and engage with strategic vendors to secure early access to long-lead or specialized nuclear materials (e.g., fuel, graphite, stainless, forgings)
Contribute to internal documentation, ERP/MRP system updates, and procurement reports for leadership review
Requirement
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in direct procurement, ideally within a highly regulated manufacturing industry (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, defense, pharmaceuticals)
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
Strong operational knowledge of MRP systems
Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Deep familiarity with NQA-1, ISO 9001, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, or related compliance programs
Experience in a nuclear industry strategic sourcing
