EARTH-FIRST VISION

Clearbot is revolutionizing the $165B autonomous ship market, which is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.8% through 2030. With the global marine services industry valued at over $800M annually and short-range maritime cargo worth $112B, Clearbot is tapping into a vast and expanding opportunity.

The company’s electric, autonomous boats address urgent needs in waste removal, oil spill cleanup, and cargo transport. Their solutions reduce inefficiencies and environmental damage, aligning with Earth VC’s mission to invest in scalable, high-impact technologies that redefine sustainable relationships with our planet’s ecosystems.

THE PROBLEM

Marine industries face rising costs, environmental damage, and safety risks. Cleaning waterways is labor-intensive and expensive, costing thousands daily while producing heavy carbon emissions. Key sectors, including dredging ($10.3B) and short-range cargo transport ($112B), rely on inefficient and outdated methods. Meanwhile, oil spills, trash, and invasive weeds continue to pollute global waterways. The lack of autonomous solutions leaves these challenges unresolved, creating a pressing need for innovation.

SOLUTIONS

Clearbot’s autonomous, electric boats redefine efficiency and sustainability. Clearbot Neo cleans up to 200 kg of trash or 15L of oil daily, cutting costs by 80% and operating with zero emissions. It transports 200 kg of cargo for just $0.10/km, making it a cost-effective alternative to traditional methods. These AI-powered boats operate 24/7, navigating complex waterways without human intervention, reducing risk, and boosting efficiency. Each unit saves 19.66 tonnes of CO2 annually. With real-time tracking dashboards, Clearbot ensures transparency for sponsors, offering industries a smarter, safer, and greener way to handle marine challenges.

THEIR DNAs

Clearbot’s leadership combines expertise and innovation to drive impact. CEO Sidhant Gupta, a Guinness World Record holder and TEDx speaker, has five years of experience in marine robotics. CTO Utkarsh Agarwal, an AI and systems engineering expert, led the HKU Robomasters team and Machine Learning Society. Advisor Christina Teo brings over 22 years of leadership from roles at Yahoo! and IBM, while Prof. Hayden So provides deep technical expertise as an associate professor at HKU. Backed by partners like Razer and Microsoft, Clearbot’s team is charting a sustainable course for the future of marine technology.
