Earth VC Backs Isometric's Agentic Certification Platform
Earth Venture Capital has backed Isometric in its $50M Series A. Isometric is building agentic certification for the industrial economy, deploying AI agents that verify industrial claims in hours rather than months.
The round was led by AVP with global insurer AXA as anchor investor. Initially announced at $40M in June 2026, it expanded to $50M in September when Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) joined, bringing Isometric's total funding across seed and Series A to $75M. The investment reflects Earth VC's focus on the infrastructure layer that determines whether deep tech reaches commercial scale.

The Problem: Industrial Claims Nobody Can Check
Put a tonne of green steel next to a tonne of conventional steel and you cannot tell them apart by looking. The same holds for a low-carbon fuel, a cleanly generated unit of energy, or a tonne of carbon removed from the atmosphere. The only way to know is certification.
AI, automation, and decarbonization are driving a resurgence in the industrial economy, with BloombergNEF recording $2.3 trillion in global energy transition investment in 2025. Every project in that build-out has to be certified against regulatory, safety, and sustainability standards before a buyer pays a premium, before a regulator grants a permit, or before an investor commits capital.
For decades, that has meant a manual process taking 12 months or more. The industrial economy has operated on the assumption that certification can be fast or accurate, but not both.
Isometric: Agentic Certification Built for the Industrial Economy
Founded in 2022 and based in London, Isometric built Certify, an agentic certification platform that removes the speed-versus-rigour tradeoff.
Its AI agents read and cross-check the millions of data points behind a claim, from sensor readings and satellite imagery to supply chain records and lab results. The agents flag discrepancies and surface the cases that need expert judgment, so auditors who previously spot-checked evidence can now cover all of it.
What sets Isometric apart:
Complete coverage, not sampling: every data point behind a claim is reviewed, replacing legacy spot-checks that leave most evidence unexamined.
Hours instead of months: agents run the workflow end to end and around the clock, with human experts retained for the final call rather than the clerical work.
Built for the whole industrial economy: carbon removal, superpollutant reduction, low-carbon energy, fuels, and materials all run on a single platform.
Isometric was founded by Eamon Jubbawy, who previously co-founded Onfido, the AI identity-verification company that verified over a billion identities before its $650M acquisition by Entrust. Behind the platform is a team of scientists and engineers turning rigorous science into fast, accurate certification.
The company proved the model first in carbon removal, where it is now the largest certifier in the market, contracted for more than 16 million tonnes to date. Its certification is relied on by Microsoft, Anglo American, JPMorganChase, Boeing, and over 200 industrial projects worldwide.

Why Earth VC Backs Isometric
A large share of what we back shares one constraint: the technology can work and still not be financeable, because nobody independent can check the claim behind it.
Carbon removal, nuclear, advanced materials, industrial biomanufacturing — each of these reaches the same gate. A buyer will not pay a premium, a regulator will not permit, and an investor will not commit until the number is verified. Certification is not a compliance afterthought in that world. It is the point at which a technical claim becomes a financeable asset, and it has been one of the slowest, most manual layers in the entire industrial stack.
Isometric is building the AI layer for that gate. That is the kind of deep tech we exist to back: an unglamorous constraint at the infrastructure layer, solved once, for an entire class of industries.
Alongside AVP and AXA, the round brought in Intercontinental Exchange, Plural, Lowercarbon Capital, Acario Innovation, BY Venture Partners, Dubai Future District Fund, Illusian, Motion Ventures, One Capital, Plug and Play, and Verb Ventures, as well as personal investments from John Doerr, Walter Kortschak, and Legora founder Max Junestrand.
Looking Ahead: Certification as Market Infrastructure
The most telling detail in this round is who joined last. ICE operates the New York Stock Exchange and the world's largest commodity and energy markets, and it spent decades building the infrastructure that global financial markets depend on: exchanges, clearing, data. Its read on the industrial economy is that certification is the equivalent missing layer.
That reading matches ours. As industrial projects scale, the constraint shifts from whether the technology works to whether the claim can be proven at the speed capital moves. Isometric is now the best-capitalized certifier in the carbon markets, and the rest of the industrial economy is what comes next.
The downstream effect is broader than any single sector: faster permitting cycles, lower verification costs, and a credible basis for the premiums that low-carbon products depend on. Provable output is financeable output.
